Job summary

Primoris Energy Services is a major direct-hire contractor delivering self-performed turnkey industrial construction and EPC services across refining, gas processing, chemical/petrochemical, hydrogen, and power generation sectors in the U.S. and Canada.

The Field Engineer will provide planning and technical support to the construction team, act as a front-line problem solver, and assist with WorkFace Planning, quality control, and safety compliance on diverse projects.

Qualifications

• BS Civil Engineering or relevant equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of field engineering experience in power generation, petrochemical, or similar industrial projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with scheduling and project management software tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field operations to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• Generate RFIs with Clients/Subcontractors and track their impacts on scope, schedule, and cost.
• Review project specifications, standards and drawings.
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor progress for compliance and issues.
• Understand the project schedule and follow WorkFace Planning best practices for field execution.
• Prepare project status reports addressing schedule, staffing, safety and open issues.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders for smooth execution.
• Maintain up-to-date project documentation and review delivery of documents, drawings, and submittals.
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures; ensure safety compliance.
