Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Critical Infrastructure Mechanical Engineer, Field Engineering to support AWS Data Centers from design through turnover, troubleshoot issues, and drive upgrades for capacity and efficiency. You will work with operations, design, and safety teams to ensure reliable infrastructure at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ cumulative years of experience in mechanical, data center, or related engineering.
• Must have a valid US driver’s license and reliable personal transportation by start date

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation for site/equipment failures.
• Directly support operational issues with ad-hoc training, procedure reviews, including critical equipment, and event support.
• Own the conceptual design for data center upgrades and design-solutions to add capacity, improve availability and efficiency.
• Interface with data center operations, design engineering, server hardware, and safety teams to promote standards and reliability.
• Develop innovative solutions for AWS data centers and lead audits and on-site visits.
