Job summary

HireTalent is seeking a Mechanical Field Engineer for a 12-month on-site contract at a large automotive facility in Georgetown, KY. The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 10+ years of industrial construction experience, OSHA 10, and familiarity with IBC/NEC/NFPA codes; proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam is expected.

AutoCAD/Bluebeam and MS Project knowledge is preferred. You will lead commissioning, review submittals, coordinate testing and handover, and manage field reports

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 10+ years in industrial/construction projects.
Experience with startup/commissioning, submittals, RFIs, and field reporting.
Knowledge of building codes (IBC/NEC/NESC/NFPA/ASME) and industry standards.

Responsibilities

Facilitate mechanical building system startups and commissioning activities.
Review submittals, shop drawings, specs, and RFIs from contractors.
Coordinate factory testing, delivery, installation, and handover.
Conduct progress and quality inspections; manage contractor performance.
Schedule weekend shutdowns and outages; prepare field status reports.
