Job summary

Amrize a leading supplier of quality construction materials in the United States seeks a Mechanic to deploy across multiple active project environments to inspect, diagnose, overhaul, and repair heavy haul vehicles, commercial mixer fleets, and heavy earth-moving support equipment.

You will work outdoors in varying weather conditions, travel within the territory for fleet PMs, and maintain safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license, Class A or B CDL preferred.
• 3 years experience directly related to the duties or mechanics school graduate (Heavy equipment diesel engines and transmissions).
• Requires working outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
• They may be required to work long and unpredictable hours.
• Must be able to stand for long periods on varied surfaces.
• Must be able to move freely, including the ability to stoop, crawl, and bend at the knees and waist.
• Must be able to lift 100 pounds unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Ensures delivery trucks operate reliably, preventing breakdowns from blocking active client placement avenues.
• Travels between temporary plant installations and delivery zones to provide regular fleet PMs and emergency field support.
• Troubleshoots drum rotation gear drives, water pumps, and hydraulic lines on heavy haul and mixer fleets.
• Maintains maximum fleet safety parameters and environmental compliance.
• Executes engine, brake, and chassis interventions with proper safety equipment.
• Files FMCSA logs, DOT inspection records, brake certifications, and internal maintenance sheets.
