Job summary

Amrize seeks a Mechanic for our Hubbard, TX site to inspect, diagnose, overhaul, and repair heavy haul vehicles and ready-mix fleets. The role involves frequent outdoor work across multiple project environments and requires strong safety discipline.

You will perform engine, brake, and chassis maintenance, coordinate with site leaders, and ensure compliance with FMCSA logs and DOT records. CDL is preferred and long hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires working outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
• 3 years experience directly related to the duties or mechanics school graduate (Heavy equipment diesel engines and transmissions).
• Must have a valid driver’s license (Class A or B preferred).
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds and work long hours in a field environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensures delivery trucks operate properly to prevent breakdowns and delays.
• Travels between plant installations and delivery zones to provide fleet maintenance.
• Perform heavy engine, brake, and chassis interventions with proper safety equipment.
• Document FMCSA logs, DOT inspections, and fleet maintenance records.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Manager and Driver Lead on daily truck issues.
