Job summary

Amrize in Hubbard, TX, is seeking a Mechanic (Special Project) to deploy across multiple active project environments to inspect, diagnose, overhaul, and repair heavy haul vehicles, ready-mix fleets and related equipment.

The role requires outdoor work in all weather, long/unpredictable hours, a valid CDL, and strong safety discipline. You will report to the regional Maintenance Manager and support fleet maintenance and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver\'s license (Class A or B preferred).
• 3 years experience directly related to heavy equipment diesel engines and transmissions.
• Requires working outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
• May be required to work long and unpredictable hours.
• Must be able to lift 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, overhaul and repair heavy haul vehicles and mixer fleets.
• Provide regular fleet PMs and emergency field support across project sites.
• Coordinate with Driver Lead and regional Maintenance Manager.
• Maintain FMCSA logs, DOT inspections, brake Certifications and maintenance records.
• Promote health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments.
