Job summary

Froehling & Robertson, Inc. (F&R) seeks a Construction Materials Testing Field Technician to perform field tests on soil, asphalt, masonry and concrete at construction sites. You will document results on smartphones/tablets and coordinate with project managers for timely review.

The role involves traveling to job sites, preparing field and laboratory reports, and communicating with clients and staff. A High School Diploma is required, with preferred field testing experience and relevant

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior construction or field testing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform field materials testing of soil, asphalt, masonry and concrete.
• Prepare detailed field reports with results and observations.
• Perform laboratory tests on soil and concrete and prepare reports.
• Evaluate site and subgrade conditions and provide recommendations.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and staff regarding issues.
