Job summary

Froehling & Robertson, Inc. is seeking a CMT Technician to inspect construction sites, perform soil and concrete tests, and document results. Responsibilities include field sampling, data entry on mobile devices, and timely reporting to project managers.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to read plans, and willingness to travel to job sites. Driving is required, with a driver’s license and clean record preferred.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required or preferred.
• Prior construction or field testing experience is desirable.
• ACI Level I Concrete / State DOT / WACEL / ICC certifications are a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to read and interpret plans, specifications, and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform field materials testing of soil, asphalt, masonry and concrete.
• Prepare detailed field reports with all test results and observations.
• Perform laboratory tests on soil and concrete and prepare reports of results.
• Evaluate site and subgrade conditions and provide recommendations.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and staff regarding construction issues.
