Job summary

Froehling & Robertson, Inc. is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Field Technician in Charlotte, NC. The role involves on-site inspection of contractor work, executing soil and concrete tests, and documenting results for project managers in real time via mobile devices.

You will perform field and laboratory tests, prepare comprehensive reports, and collaborate with engineers and technicians to ensure compliance with specifications. A HS diploma and ability to travel are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required with preferred construction/field testing experience.
• Experience with field testing and reporting is beneficial.
• Ability to read plans and document test results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform field materials testing of soil, asphalt, masonry and concrete.
• Prepare detailed field reports with all relevant test results and inspections/observations.
• Perform laboratory tests on soil and concrete and prepare reports of results.
• Evaluate site and subgrade conditions on construction projects and provide recommendations.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and engineering staff regarding testing issues.
