Job summary

Froehling & Robertson, Inc. is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Field Technician to support on-site inspections and field/lab testing in Fayetteville, NC.

The role involves testing soils, aggregates, and concrete, and documenting results for project teams. The technician will prepare detailed reports, assist with laboratory tests, and evaluate site conditions while traveling to job sites as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior construction or field testing experience preferred.
• Certifications in soils, reinforced concrete, and masonry are a plus.
• Must be able to read plans, interpret specs, and compute field data.

Responsibilities

• Perform field materials testing of soil, asphalt, masonry and concrete.
• Prepare detailed field reports with test results and observations.
• Perform laboratory tests on soil and concrete and prepare reports.
• Evaluate site and subgrade conditions and provide recommendations.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and staff regarding construction issues.
