Froehling & Robertson, Inc. (F&R) seeks a Construction Materials Testing Field Technician to support on-site inspections and testing across Virginia. You will perform field tests on soil, concrete, and related materials, document results on tablets, and collaborate with engineers and project managers.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, ability to lift 70 pounds, a valid driver's license, and a willingness to travel. Safety-minded approach is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior construction or field testing experience preferred.
• ACI Level I Concrete, State DOT, WACEL, or ICC certifications are a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; work independently or in teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform field materials testing of soil, asphalt, masonry and concrete.
• Prepare detailed field reports with all test results and observations.
• Perform laboratory tests on soil and concrete and prepare reports.
• Evaluate site conditions and provide actionable recommendations.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and project staff regarding construction issues.
