Job summary

Froehling & Robertson, Inc. seeks a field technician in Fayetteville, NC to perform field testing and inspection of construction materials in order to verify conformity with plans and specifications.

Responsibilities include testing soil, asphalt, and concrete; preparing detailed field reports; performing basic lab tests; evaluating site conditions; and communicating findings to clients and project teams. Travel to job sites is required; a valid driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• ICC Certifications in soils, structural masonry or reinforced concrete are required.
• Or an Engineering Intern (EI) with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• ACI Concrete Field Technician Grade 1 is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing of soil, asphalt, and concrete.
• Prepare detailed and complete field reports with test results and observations.
• Perform basic laboratory tests on soil and concrete and report results.
• Evaluate site conditions on construction projects and provide recommendations.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and staff regarding construction issues.
