Job summary

Froehling & Robertson, Inc. is seeking a CMT Technician to support field and laboratory testing activities across construction sites in the United States.

You will perform soil, asphalt, masonry and concrete tests, document results, and assist project managers with observations and recommendations. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and prior field testing or construction exposure; certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma (or equivalent).
• Prior construction or field testing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Performing field materials testing of soil, asphalt, masonry and concrete.
• Preparing detailed and complete field reports with all relevant test results and inspections/observations provided.
• Performing laboratory tests on soil and concrete and preparing reports of results.
• Evaluating site and subgrade conditions on construction projects and providing recommendations.
• Communicating with clients, contractors, and engineering staff regarding construction issues.
