Job summary

Froehling & Robertson, Inc. is seeking a CMT Technician to travel to construction sites, perform field soil and concrete tests, and input data on smartphones for immediate transmission to Project Managers. You will support field reports and laboratory testing while ensuring adherence to project specifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior construction or field testing experience preferred.
• ACI Level I Concrete, State DOT, WACEL, or ICC certifications are a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Must work independently and within teams to achieve goals.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, safety rules, manuals.
• Problem solver who can handle multiple variables.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Must lift up to 70 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Perform field materials testing of soil, asphalt, masonry and concrete.
• Prepare detailed field reports with all test results and observations.
• Perform laboratory tests on soil and concrete and prepare reports.
• Evaluate site and subgrade conditions and provide recommendations.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and staff on construction issues.
