Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a CMT Field Technician to join our Johnstown team. This entry-level role focuses on field observations, sampling, and routine testing of construction materials under supervision, with strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

No experience required; paid training is provided and we cover certification fees. Candidates must be able to lift up to 85 lbs and hold a valid driver’s license to operate at project sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0 years of related experience acceptable.
• Obtain basic certifications applicable to the work.
• Valid driver’s license if driving for ECS.
• Good communication skills (verbal, written).
• Ability to lift up to 85 lbs and ride/drive to field sites.
• Basic math and data entry skills.
• Ability to read maps and plans (developing).

Responsibilities

• Perform field observation, testing, and sampling of soil, aggregates, and concrete under supervision.
• Assist with testing activities on project sites.
• Communicate daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers.
• Prepare and submit daily field reports.
• Support data entry and basic calculations for testing results.
• Organize and maintain field equipment and notify supervisors of issues.
• Participate in project meetings when requested.
• Perform other field and project support duties.
