Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician to join our Pittsburgh team. No experience is required as you'll be trained and certified under supervision.

Starting pay is $18 per hour with opportunities to develop skills in soils, aggregates, and concrete testing, while advancing under experienced staff as part of a safety‑driven, growth‑oriented work environment.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
• Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
• Willing to develop understanding of heavy construction safety, practices, and procedures.
• Willing to obtain knowledge of CMT principles and applications, as well as ASTM laboratory standards.

Responsibilities

• Field Activities: observe, test, and sample materials (soils, aggregates, concrete) at project sites under guidance.
• Testing Procedures: perform routine field/lab tests following industry standards.
• Data Collection: perform calculations and data reduction from test results; assist with drafting and admin duties.
