Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a motivated Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician to join our Johnstown team. The role is primarily field-based, collecting data, observing site conditions, and supporting testing activities under supervision.

You will gain foundational technical skills while upholding ECS Core Values and strong customer service. Entry-level candidates with a high school diploma and willingness to obtain required certifications are encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; basic certifications per policy.
• Good communication and reliable work ethic required.
• Ability to read maps and interpret plans; basic math and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs field observation, testing, and sampling of soil, aggregates, and concrete under supervision.
• Assists with construction materials testing activities on project sites.
• Communicates with contractors, technicians, and project managers daily.
• Reports changing site conditions and additional testing needs to supervisors.
• Prepares and submits daily field reports; assists with data entry and calculations.
