Job summary

ECS Group of Companies (ECS) is hiring a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician to join our Greensboro team. No prior experience is needed as you will learn under seasoned staff, with paid training and support for certification goals.

You will perform field sampling and testing of soils, aggregates, and concrete, under supervision, and contribute to data collection and reporting requirements on active projects.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct observation, testing, and sampling of soils, aggregates, and concrete on project sites.
• Perform routine field and laboratory tests following industry standards.
• Collect data, perform calculations, and assist with drafting and admin tasks.
• Maintain daily communication with contractors and project managers.
• Receive training in ECS methodologies and document findings precisely.
