ECS Group of Companies in Greenville, SC seeks a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician. This role focuses on field observations, data collection, and basic testing under supervision to support project execution. Training is provided, and certification fees are paid by ECS.

As experience grows, you may pursue additional certifications and expanded responsibilities in materials testing while maintaining a strong customer service mindset and adherence to ECS core values.

Formación

• 0 years of related experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Obtain basic certifications per ECS Technician Certification Policy.
• If driving for or on behalf of ECS, a valid driver's license is required.
• Good communication skills (verbal, written, reading comprehension).
• Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented work ethic.
• Basic math skills and data entry ability.
• Ability to read maps, follow directions, and interpret plans (developing).
• Basic proficiency with electronic devices (tablets, phones, laptops).
• Ability to work effectively with supervisors, peers, and clients.
• Ability to lift equipment and materials regularly (up to ~85 lbs).
• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and follow all laws and company policies.

Responsabilidades

• Performs field observation, testing, and sampling of soil, aggregates, and concrete under supervision.
• Assists with construction materials testing activities on project sites.
• Communicates daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers.
• Reports changing site conditions and additional testing needs to supervisors.
• Assists with preparation and submission of daily field reports.
• Supports basic calculations and data entry related to testing results.
• Assists in organizing and maintaining field equipment.
• Notifies supervisors of damaged or missing equipment.
• Participates in project meetings with senior staff as requested.
• Performs other field and project support duties as assigned.
