S&ME, Inc. seeks an entry-level Construction Materials Engineering Technician to gain hands-on experience on outdoor construction sites in the Greenville‑Spartanburg area.

You’ll perform field and lab tests, support documentation, and grow your technical skills from day one. Grow with us as you learn concrete, soils, asphalt, and masonry, while earning while you learn through on-the-job training and certifications (ACI/ICC).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Willing to learn and obtain certifications (ACI/ICC) on the job.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team.
• Good English communication (reading, writing, speaking).
• Basic math skills for weight, volume, and units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and lab tests to support construction projects.
• Maintain equipment and ensure accurate test reporting.
• Inspections per IBC codes and document findings.
• Assist with data entry and reporting using Metafield.
• Support safety and quality standards on active sites.
