S&ME Inc. is seeking an entry-level Construction Materials Engineering Technician for our Ashville, North Carolina team. The position involves fieldwork, lab testing, and growing technical skills with on-the-job training and certifications.

You will start with concrete sampling and testing, expanding into soils, asphalt, and masonry while gaining hands-on field experience and reporting results. Frequent travel and outdoor work are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to learn field and lab testing procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with concrete sampling and testing, and progress into soils, asphalt, and masonry.
• Perform field and lab tests and maintain equipment.
• Document results accurately and reporting.
• Support inspections per IBC codes and data management in Metafield.
