Job summary

S&ME Inc. in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Entry-Level Construction Materials Engineering Technician to join the Construction Services team.

You’ll help verify that materials and work meet industry standards through field testing, inspections, and observation while gaining hands-on experience. Starting with concrete sampling and testing, you’ll expand to soils, asphalt, and masonry, with paid on-the-job training toward ACI and ICC certifications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Strong work ethic and team mindset.
• Attention to detail and clear communication in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Basic math skills with understanding of weight, volume, pressure, and units of measure.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing and construction observation to ensure material quality.
• Learn testing processes starting with concrete sampling and testing, expanding to soils, asphalt, and masonry.
• Document testing results and daily reports.
• Assist with inspections and report findings.
• Work outdoors on active construction sites across Georgia; travel may be required.
