Job summary

Three Notch Group seeks a Construction Materials Testing Technician to join our team in Andalusia, Dothan, or Pensacola. You will perform field observations, materials testing, and documentation to ensure project quality and compliance.

Responsibilities include interpreting plans, conducting tests on concrete, asphalt, and soils, and communicating results to project stakeholders. Requires a high school diploma and valid driver's license; opportunities for certification exist.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction plans, geotechnical reports, project specifications, and applicable building codes.
• Perform field observations, testing, and inspections on various construction projects.
• Monitor contractor activities and document conformance with project plans and standards.
• Perform construction materials testing during site grading, earthwork, foundation, concrete, reinforcement, and asphalt operations.
• Collect field samples and perform testing per ASTM, ACI, ICC, DOT, and project requirements.
• Prepare field reports, test summaries, and inspection documentation.
• Communicate results and recommendations to contractors, project managers, and engineers.
