Job summary

NOVA Engineering and Environmental, LLC is seeking a NCDOT Certified Technician for our Raleigh, NC office. The inspector will travel to construction sites to inspect contractor work and perform field tests (soil, ABC stone, asphalt, concrete, and steel) under supervision, ensuring work aligns with NCDOT and project specs.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to perform field tests on soil, ABC stone, asphalt, concrete, and steel.
• Experience with plant inspections for asphalt/concrete.
• Prepare detailed field reports with test results.
• Assess site and subgrade conditions and provide recommendations.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Perform field materials testing of soil, ABC stone, asphalt, concrete and/or steel.
• Perform plant inspections for asphalt and/or concrete.
• Prepare detailed field reports with all test results and observations.
• Evaluate site and subgrade conditions and provide recommendations.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, engineers and technician staff.
