Job summary

NOVA Engineering and Environmental, LLC is seeking Field Engineering Technicians to support construction materials testing from our Raleigh, NC office. You will perform field tests on soils, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates and review project blueprints to guide field observations.

Expect documentation of results, calibration of equipment, and coordination with project teams and clients. Some travel to job sites will be required, including occasional overnight assignments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in construction testing/inspections of soils, concrete, masonry, or asphalt material.
• ACI Certification is required.
• NCDOT and ICC certifications are a plus.
• Ability to lift 40–50 lbs regularly.
• Willingness to travel overnight for short assignments.

Responsibilities

• Field test soils, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and masonry materials per specs.
• Review blueprints for field observations on sites.
• Document field activities and test results per project plans.
• Record testing results using Metafield and other systems.
• Communicate results with project teams, contractors, and clients.
• Calibrate field and lab equipment to standards.
