Job summary

NOVA Engineering is seeking a NCDOT Certified Technician in our Raleigh, NC office to inspect contractor work at field sites and perform basic soil, ABC stone, asphalt and concrete tests under the direction of other engineers.

The role involves documenting test results on smartphones/tablets, preparing detailed field reports, evaluating subgrade conditions, and communicating with clients, contractors and staff to ensure compliance with project specs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform field materials testing on soil, ABC stone, asphalt and concrete.
• Inspect plant operations for asphalt/concrete as required.
• Prepare clear, complete field reports with results and observations.
