Job summary

Atlas is seeking a CMT Technician to support field and laboratory testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and other materials on active construction projects in Texas. You will collect samples, document results, and communicate findings to project teams.

Candidates should have 3+ years in construction materials testing and a valid ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I certification, or the ability to obtain it after hire. Travel ~20% is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction materials testing or inspection.
• Experience reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and testing procedures.
• Strong understanding of concrete, soils, aggregate base, and asphalt materials.
• Willingness to travel to project sites (approximately 20%).

Responsibilities

• Travel to a variety of construction and project sites to support infrastructure projects.
• Collect soil, concrete, asphalt, and other material samples for testing and analysis.
• Observe field conditions to ensure work aligns with project specs.
• Perform field and laboratory QA testing using established procedures.
• Prepare accurate daily reports documenting testing results and activities.
• Build relationships with clients, contractors, engineers and project teams.
