Job summary

Atlas is seeking a CMT Field Technician to perform field observations and materials sampling/testing on building, bridge and roadway projects. You will document contractor compliance through daily reports, cast concrete, masonry, and grout samples, and coordinate with the lab and site team.

You’ll travel to local sites, lift and move samples, and communicate daily progress to management while adhering to Atlas safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of experience in field testing or construction materials sampling.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass MVR and drug test.
• Ability to travel to local and occasional out-of-town sites.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Preferred certifications: ACI/ICC soils, concrete, masonry; Troxler gauge.

Responsibilities

• Perform field observations and materials sampling/testing during construction.
• Write daily field reports documenting contractor compliance.
• Cast field samples of concrete, masonry, grout for strength verification.
• Communicate daily progress to management and transport samples/equipment.
• Adhere to safety policies and travel to sites with varied terrain.
• Read and interpret maps, project specifications and plans.
