Job summary

Atlas is seeking a Construction Materials Tester - CMT Field Technician 2 to deliver accurate, defensible materials testing and documentation for heavy civil infrastructure projects in the Seattle area. The role requires certifications in WAQTC In-Place Density and ACI Field Testing Grade 1, with the ability to travel per project needs.

You will write reports, perform soil and material tests, and support inspections on active construction sites while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction materials testing experience.
• WAQTC in-place density and aggregate testing certifications; ACI Certification field testing Grade 1.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office apps (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Accurately write and submit test reports daily.
• Assist with inspection of Heavy Civil construction.
• Perform field tests, record data, and interpret results.
• Sample and test Cement, Concrete, and other surfacing materials.
• Sample and perform aggregate tests (sieve analysis, sand equivalent, moisture).
• Use nuclear gauge to test densities of asphalt, concrete, surfacing, and earthwork.
• Write and receive tickets for measurements of materials.
