Legacy Engineering, P.C. in Fredericksburg, VA, is seeking a Construction Materials Technician (Entry Level) to join our CMT team. This hands-on role involves traveling to construction sites to test soils, concrete, and other materials alongside engineers and inspectors.

No prior testing experience is required as we provide training and certifications. The position offers growth through industry credentials and access to comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Interest in construction, engineering, or field work.
• Comfortable outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 85 pounds and stay active.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel to construction sites in the Fredericksburg region to perform field testing of soil, concrete, and other construction materials.
• Work alongside contractors, engineers, and inspectors on active construction projects.
• Perform basic field tests using specialized equipment and industry procedures.
• Document test results and site observations using a tablet or field reports.
• Communicate with project managers and field supervisors regarding testing needs or site conditions.
• Maintain and properly use testing equipment while following safety standards.
