S&ME in Asheville, NC is seeking an entry-level Construction Materials Engineering Technician to work outdoors, perform concrete sampling, soils, asphalt testing, and learn field and lab methods.

You'll gain hands-on experience, earn certifications through on-the-job training (ACI/ICC), travel frequently, and grow into a technical professional with a strong foundation in geotechnical and construction material testing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Willing to learn and obtain certifications (ACI/ICC) over time.
• Strong work ethic and team-oriented.
• Clear English communication (speaking/writing).
• Basic math skills and understanding of units.

Responsibilities

• Perform concrete sampling and testing in the field.
