S&M E is seeking a Construction Materials Engineering Technician / Team Lead in Macon, GA. The role combines hands-on testing with daily team leadership to ensure safety and quality on diverse projects across transportation, energy, and water markets.

You will supervise a small crew, document results, and coordinate with project managers while meeting S&M E standards for excellence and integrity.

Qualifications

• Must hold active industry certifications in concrete testing and inspection.
• Experience leading or mentoring a team is preferred.
• Strong documentation and communication skills required.
• Ability to work outdoors and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead field and lab testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, and related materials.
• Coordinate staffing and scheduling with project managers and supervisors.
• Review project specifications and document test results accurately.
• Coach and develop team members to meet safety and quality standards.
