Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Field Material Controller for Advanced Manufacturing to manage major capital equipment materials on-site in Saint Francisville, LA. You will supervise no direct reports and work under close supervision, ensuring accurate shipment releases and documenting material control activities.

The role requires 2+ years on-site experience, proficiency with MS Office and materials management systems (SAP/Oracle), and an interest in construction management or procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, construction, supply chain, operations management, or equivalent project experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in capital equipment material control is preferred.
• 2+ years of hands-on site experience within complex, large-scale construction environments.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Certificate. OSHA 30 preferred.
• Experience using MS Office tools and intermediate to advanced MS Excel.
• 2+ years of experience with Materials Management software and/or Enterprise Purchasing Systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Interest in pursuing Construction Management or Procurement.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of material control processes and project delivery.
• Review shipment release documentation and ensure PO terms are met.
• Administer Material Receiving Reports (MRRs) and related reports.
• Maintain material control documentation in a repository.
• Coordinate with project personnel on material control activities.
• Identify material control risks and assist in OS&D resolution.
