Job summary

Ruppert Landscape is seeking a Field Manager to lead landscape maintenance crews on contracted sites in the Fairfax area. You will plan daily production, supervise crews, manage budgets and report results to ensure contracts stay within hours and quality remains high.

The role emphasizes developing field staff, coordinating with client representatives, and promoting safety, efficiency, and growth within the team. A valid driver’s license and prior maintenance management experience are required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to manage others in a field setting.
• Experience working with service customers on contract maintenance.
• At least 1 year in commercial contract maintenance.
• Two/Four-year horticulture or related degree with 2 years industry experience.
• Ability to identify insect/disease issues and plan treatment.
• Valid driver’s license with clean three-year record.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and supervise daily production activities on contracts.
• Develop understanding of budgets for hours and costs; monitor and report.
• Monitor quality of work and communicate issues to the client.
• Build strong relationships with clients on every job.
• Attend or conduct certification trainings regularly.
• Sell a reasonable level of extras using time and materials tickets.
• Maintain assigned vehicles and equipment in good condition.
