Job summary

Ruppert Landscape is seeking a Field Manager for Landscape Maintenance to oversee field crews, manage contracts, and ensure work meets budgets and quality standards. You will lead labor, material planning, and client communication on multiple site contracts.

The role emphasizes developing team members, maintaining safety and equipment, and achieving contract renewals. A horticulture degree or equivalent, plus field leadership experience, is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience managing teams in a contract maintenance environment.
• Minimum 1 year in commercial contract maintenance.
• Two- or four-year horticulture degree with two years industry experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record over the last 3 years.
• Ability to diagnose insect/disease problems and schedule treatment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and supervise daily production on contracts.
• Monitor budgets, hours and costs; communicate budget hours to staff.
• Develop a good client relationship on every job.
• Attend or conduct certification training sessions regularly.
• Sell an acceptable level of extras via T&M tickets.
• Maintain assigned vehicle and equipment in good condition.
• Collaborate with other field managers to meet branch goals.
• Provide staff development through goal setting and evaluations.
• Understand branch financial position and goals.
