Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a field-based General Maintenance Technician to support maintenance at multiple Dollar General stores within a geographic area. You will respond in person to maintenance tickets, perform preventative maintenance, and educate store leaders on best practices to ensure longevity of equipment.

The role requires daily site visits, strong problem-solving, and the ability to work with leadership at all levels.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or applicable experience.
• Active Driver’s License.
• Willingness to travel up to 100%.

Responsibilities

• Travel to site locations where maintenance concerns are reported.
• Troubleshoot and document asset information for on-site service projects.
• Educate store leadership on maintenance best practices and preventative maintenance.
• Perform safety checks and support entry-level repairs as needed.
• Document tickets in CMMS and respond within designated timeframes.
