Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a field-based General Maintenance Technician to support maintenance across assigned stores. You will respond in person to maintenance tickets, perform preventative maintenance, and educate store leaders on best practices to keep coolers and equipment in optimal condition.

Travel within the district, document activities in the CMMS, and coordinate with store leadership to address safety and upkeep. Occasional after-hours work may be required to resolve urgent repairs.

Qualifications

• Excellent problem-solving to identify and support entry-level repairs.
• Basic computer literacy for CMMS documentation.
• Clear communication with all levels of staff and leadership.
• Strong commitment to customer service metrics and store experience.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deploy to specific Dollar General stores to resolve maintenance issues and perform preventive tasks.
• Travel to sites where maintenance concerns are reported by store leadership.
• Troubleshoot and collect asset information for onsite service projects within the district.
• Support entry-level maintenance including light grounds work and safety equipment checks.
• Document and resolve tickets within designated timeframes in CMMS; educate leadership.
