Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a field-based General Maintenance Technician to support maintenance for assigned store locations. You will travel to sites, troubleshoot equipment, and document maintenance tasks while coordinating with store leadership and CMMS systems.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, safety checks, and educating leadership on best practices. Occasional after-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• Problem-solving skills to identify and support entry-level repairs.

• Previous store management/retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel to sites where maintenance concerns have been reported by store leadership.
• Troubleshoot and verify asset information for on-site service projects.
• Support entry-level maintenance including light exterior grounds work and safety equipment checks.
• Document and resolve tickets within designated timeframes.
• Provide training to identify root causes when necessary.
• Occasional after-hours work may be required based on urgency.
• Perform on-site checklists and educate leadership on preventive maintenance.
