Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Field-based General Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance function of its Dollar General stores within a geographic area. This role requires daily travel to sites, quick in-person response to maintenance tickets, and proactive preventative maintenance in collaboration with store leadership.

You will document activities in CMMS, educate store leaders on best practices for longevity of coolers, freezers, and equipment, and perform entry-level

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or applicable experience.
• Active Driver’s License.
• Willingness to travel up to 100%.
• Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Travel to the sites where maintenance concerns have been reported by store leadership.
• Troubleshoot and verify asset information for on-site service projects within the district.
• Support entry level maintenance, preventative maintenance, and safety equipment assessment.
• Document and resolve tickets within designated time frames using CMMS.
• Provide training to identify root causes when necessary.
• Occasional after-hours work may be required.
• On-site checklist to determine preventive or small maintenance tasks and educate store leadership.
