Job summary

ADT Security Services is seeking a Field Technician to install and service advanced low-voltage security systems in customers’ homes and small businesses. You’ll ensure proper installation, testing, and configuration for reliable performance while maintaining clear communication with customers.

You will work in a hands-on capacity, performing site assessments, troubleshooting, and educating customers on system features and basic maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proficiency with computer hardware, software, and network diagnostics.
• Ability to safely operate a company fleet vehicle.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and customer-first communication style.
• Self-directed with solid time management in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Install low-voltage wiring and mount devices according to site layouts and routing plans.
• Perform site assessments, system testing, and verify connections including monitoring center communication.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and flag defective materials or job inaccuracies that affect service quality.
• Educate customers on system features, usage, and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain a safe, clean workspace and follow all safety protocols.
