Responsibilities

• Receive work tickets from the 811 system.

• Use magnetic sensing equipment to locate lines and pipes.
• Mark locations with color-coded spray paint identifying type.
• Work in varying weather and use shovels as needed.
• Follow state and federal guidelines for line marking.
• Provide records with photos and reports to management.
• Attend safety meetings and escalate issues to supervision.
• Direct customer inquiries to the proper authorities.
