Job summary

Bermex, Inc. is seeking a Line Locator Technician to accurately detect, locate, and mark underground utility lines and pipes. This role involves outdoor fieldwork, reading maps, and documenting results with digital devices.

Training will be provided, and you will report to the Project Manager at Bermex. Candidates should be comfortable working independently in varying weather conditions, have a high school diploma or GED, and possess a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent attention to detail and safety orientation.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and environments.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Line Locating: receive and complete work tickets from the 811 system.
• Read and interpret utility maps and tickets showing underground utilities.
• Use locating equipment and maps to identify underground utilities.
• Accurately mark location and type of utilities with color-coded markings.
• Perform fieldwork in varying weather and environmental conditions.
• Document completed work using digital tools and devices.
• Escalate questions or field issues to the supervisor.
