Job summary

Vallen is seeking an Onsite Technician I in the Safety Services Group to install, inspect, test, and maintain life safety systems for established customers on a scheduled basis. You will perform service calls, on-site troubleshooting, and prepare accurate job worksheets.

Ideal candidates have HS diploma or GED, at least one fire protection certification, and a year of relevant experience, with a valid driver's license (CDL if transporting hazardous materials).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 1 certification in a fire protection related field.
• Minimum 1 year related experience in life safety systems.
• Mechanically inclined and able to work with hand tools.
• Must have a valid driver’s license; CDL if carrying hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

• Install Life Safety Systems and perform service calls and inspections.
• On-site emergency troubleshooting and maintenance of Life Safety Systems.
• Prepare Technician Worksheets and reports accurately and on time.
• Provide customer service related to ITM of Life Safety Systems (fire, gas, foam, etc.).
• Follow regulatory standards (OSHA, NFPA) for duties performed.
• Assist shipping/receiving and distribute to sales for processing.
