Job summary

A leading technology firm in Detroit is looking for a Field Operations Manager to oversee the deployment of LiDAR systems across various environments. This role requires over 3 years of relevant experience, technical skills in electrical installations, and a strong ability to work in the field. Key responsibilities include planning, coordinating installations, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations. A valid driver’s license and safety certifications are preferred. The position may require up to 50% travel within North America.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in related fields.
• Experience installing and terminating Cat6 Ethernet cables.
• Experience with LiDAR systems is a plus.
• Proven track record in managing field installations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project planning, deployment, and field activities.
• Install and set up Blickfeld LiDAR systems at customer locations.
• Validate system installation and perform quality inspections.
• Document installation procedures and maintain logs.
• Ensure safety and compliance during installations.
• Liaise with customers for feedback during installation.

Skills

Understanding of electrical systems

Proficiency in hand tools and power tools

Problem-solving skills

Attention to detail

Knowledge of operating systems and networking

Familiarity with MQTT, Python, or C++

Fluency in English

Proficiency in German

Education

3+ years of experience in electrical installations

Valid driver's license

OSHA 10-hour certification

BICSI or similar low-voltage certification
