Job summary

Amcare Pro Home Health, Palliative Care & Hospice is seeking compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurses for full-time and PRN field positions serving patients in North Collin area to cover McKinney, Ana, Melissa, Blue Ridge and surrounding areas. Our LVNs provide skilled, patient-centered care in patients' homes, helping to manage conditions and maintain independence and quality of life.

Travel is required within the defined service area, with a supportive interdisciplinary team and flexible

Qualifications

• Licensed Vocational Nurse with Texas license and CPR/BLS certified.
• Hospice/home health experience preferred.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to travel within service area and work independently under RN supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled nursing visits at patients' homes.
• Provide care per physician orders and care plan.
• Administer medications and treatments within LVN scope.
• Monitor conditions and report changes to RN/physician.
• Educate patients and caregivers on medications and care.
• Communicate with care team and document accurately.
• Follow infection-control procedures and agency policies.
• Travel within Fort Worth, Arlington and surrounding areas.

Amcare Pro Home Health, Palliative Care & Hospice is seeking compassionate and dependable Licensed Vocational Nurses for full-time and PRN field positions serving patients in North Collin area to cover Mckinney, Ana, Melissa, Blue ridge and surrounding areas

Why This Position Matters

Our Licensed Vocational Nurses provide skilled, patient-centered care in the comfort of each patient's home. This role supports patients in safely managing their conditions while maintaining their independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled nursing visits in patients' homes


• Provide nursing care according to physician orders and the established plan of care


• Administer medications and treatments within the LVN scope of practice


• Monitor patients' conditions and promptly report significant changes to the supervising Registered Nurse or physician


• Educate patients and caregivers regarding medications, treatments, safety, and care instructions


• Communicate regularly with the supervising Registered Nurse and interdisciplinary care team


• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation


• Follow infection-control procedures, agency policies, and applicable regulations


• Travel to patients throughout Fort Worth, Arlington, and surrounding areas

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse license


• Current CPR or BLS certification


• At least one year of nursing experience preferred


• Home health, hospice, or palliative care experience preferred


• WellSky/Kinnser experience is a plus


• Strong clinical, communication, and time-management skills


• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance


• Ability to work independently under the supervision of a Registered Nurse


• Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area
