Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field.
  • At least 3 years in construction management, field engineering or inspection on large infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with federally funded projects and regulatory compliance preferred.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, project controls and QA processes.
  • Familiarity with environmental compliance, safety management and document control.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; BIM or CAD a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with engineers, contractors and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to work in the field and adapt to changing project needs.
  • Understanding of codes, standards and permitting processes is a plus.
  • Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
  • Experience on tunnel, rail or major transportation infra projects.
  • Proactive, eager to learn and take initiative.
  • Commitment to professional development within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with site supervision and field management, supporting oversight of construction activities.
  • Ensure compliance with management plans, safety and security protocols and project requirements.
  • Monitor and document daily construction activities, including safety, quality and environmental compliance.
  • Participate in precondition surveys, mitigation planning and punch-list resolution.
  • Support environmental monitoring and compliance programs implementation.
  • Assist NEPA evaluations, environmental control processes and hazardous materials tracking.
  • Assist with Buy America and community engagement regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with project controls including schedule management, cost estimating and budget tracking.
  • Maintain construction documents, drawings, specifications and change records.
  • Review contractor daily inspection reports, RFIs, submittals and change orders.
  • Maintain records and logs of project activities and materials.
  • Support quality management plans and conduct quality audits.
  • Verify contractor testing and manage quality documentation and reporting.
  • Review quality documents and resolve non-conformances.
  • Participate in meetings, briefs and coordination sessions with project management, contractors and stakeholders.
  • Prepare technical presentations, reports and meeting minutes.
  • Interface management by linking field activities with other disciplines and reporting status.
  • Support safety management plans and review of contractor safety plans.
  • Assist with incident response plans and safety event handling.
  • Support package and contract close-out, including punch-lists and as-built reviews.
  • Support asset maintenance planning and provide input on maintenance strategies.
