Job summary

Our client, a leading global consultancy, seeks an Assistant Resident Engineer for the Hudson Tunnel Project in the Newark area. You will support field supervision, documentation, and coordination to ensure regulatory and contractual requirements are met.

Ideal candidates have a Civil Engineering/Construction background with at least 3 years in large infrastructure. The role offers a full-time on-site opportunity with comprehensive benefits and growth potential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of experience in construction management or field engineering on large infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with federal, state, and local codes and Buy America requirements.

Responsibilities

Assist with field supervision and construction oversight, supporting day-to-day monitoring of contractor activities.
Monitor, document, and report daily construction activities, including safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
Support environmental and regulatory compliance by assisting with monitoring programs and reviews.
Assist with project controls, scheduling, cost tracking, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
Support quality assurance, testing coordination, and documentation review.
Participate in meetings, prepare reports, and support interface management across disciplines.
Support safety management, project closeout, and asset management activities.
