Job summary

NPAworldwide's client, a leading global consultancy, seeks an Assistant Resident Engineer for the Hudson Tunnel Project in New York. This is a pivotal field role supporting construction oversight and coordination across teams to deliver a landmark infrastructure program.

You will assist with field supervision, documentation, safety, and regulatory compliance, working closely with project management, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure on-time, within-budget package delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction management, field engineering, or inspection on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with federally funded projects, codes, permits, and Buy America requirements.
• Strong organization, communication, and teamwork; ability to work in the field.

Responsibilities

• Support field supervision and construction oversight, ensuring compliance with plans and safety protocols.
• Monitor daily activities, document progress, and contribute to punch list resolution.
• Assist with environmental and regulatory compliance, and environmental control plans.
• Support project controls, including schedule, cost, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Participate in meetings, prepare reports, and interface across project disciplines.
• Assist with project closeout, asset management, and warranty tracking.
