Job summary
Mace is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer to support the Hudson Tunnel Project in New Jersey. You will help manage construction activities, assist with field supervision, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
The role involves coordinating with NJ Transit, contractors, and stakeholders, supporting project controls, document control, and reporting, while maintaining records and contributing to safety and quality programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction management or inspection on large infrastructure projects.
- Experience with federally funded projects and regulatory compliance is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist with site supervision and field management for construction activities.
- Ensure compliance with project plans, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Monitor daily activities, document quality and safety data, and maintain logs.
- Support NEPA evaluations and environmental control processes where needed.
- Review contractor reports, change orders, and inspection documentation.
