Job summary

Terracon Consultants, Inc. is seeking a field/lab technician to perform testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials in Tennessee. You’ll document results, analyze data, and communicate with the Project Manager, while upholding safety and quality standards on various projects.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and proficiency with Word/Excel. NICET/ICC/AWS/ASNT certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of relevant field/testing experience.
• Experience with laptop, MS Word and Excel.
• A valid driver’s license may be required.
• Preferred: multiple NICET/ICC/AWS/ASNT certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and laboratory testing, observation, and inspection per procedures.
• Provide clear documentation of findings and results.
• Perform basic data analysis to verify accuracy before PM submission.
• Communicate findings to the PM and project team.
• May train lower level technicians or lead project activities.
• Maintain calibration and upkeep of equipment.
• Follow safety rules and maintain quality standards on projects.
